I like doing various community service activities whether its with IMO or on my own, and I love being involved in my sorority. Other than that I just love the general things like spending time with my family and friends, going to the beach, working out, reading a good book, and outdoor activities. Why I love IMO: Before joining IMO it was more of an inkling that I might want to pursue the field of medicine, but after meeting the people in IMO, getting involved in all of IMO's activities, and especially after going to Peru it has made me 100% certain that not only is medicine what I want to do but it's now what I have to do be happy. IMO has introduced me to some of my best friends that will be in my life forever and helped me to mature as an individual. I have learned important lessons being involved in IMO that will stick with me through the rest of my life. IMO stands for everything that I hope to embody and I hope to instill a certainty and happiness for helping people in others as IMO has done for me. |

Personally, I love to spend time with relatives and friends, run, go spinning, play soccer, dance salsa, read, travel to other countries, watch movies, learn new languages, and of course last but not least, IMO! Why I love IMO: I love IMO because of its uniqueness and mission. Since I joined this club, my passion, determination, and commitment to pursue a career in medicine has galvanized. In Peru, I learned how valuable individuals are into others eyes when they try to reach out to the less fortunate in order to help them to better their lives. In Colombia, I learned what it means to be a competent doctor, is to always remember those who are in need of health care. The medical experiences I obtained from these two trips with IMO gave me another prospective of what medicine is really about. Whether we are giving medical care, shaking hands with patients, playing with children, or donating medical supplies to a hospital, I believe International Medical Outreach is impacting and making a difference in peopleÕs lives. I am so glad to be a part of an organization which promotes the fundamental principles of medicine, beneficence, caring, and loving others. IMO made me take a step back and refer to what Saint Francis of Assisi acknowledged Òyou need to start doing what is necessary; then do what is possible; and suddenly you are doing the impossible.Ó As undergraduate students that was exactly what we were doing in Peru and Colombia. To be able to give back to the less fortunate is one of the most rewarding opportunities in life. Honestly, IMO has affected how I would like to practice as a doctor someday, and to be able to reach out furthermore to the less fortunate around the globe. |

I often think in music. I live my daydreams in music. I see my life in terms of music." Playing basketball and football, Playing Guitar, Photography, Traveling and Cultures are other interests of mine. I am a positive person and I enjoy life and everything that I do. Why I love IMO: I live my life with passion. I am a cultured person and I love Cultures. I love people. People are my biggest passion ever since my first mission trip, to Africa when I was 17. My heart was torn for people in need in such a way that I was completely changed as a person. I love helping people, aiding the elderly, and playing with children, and this is something that is a part of my life. When I came to UCF in 2008 IMO was a perfect fit. I joined without knowing anyone in the group. I came to love IMO after going on two trips, one to Haiti and one to Cali, Colombia. Since my first trip to Zambia, Zimbabwe, Namibia and Botswana I have been to 3 Missions to Haiti and One to Cali Colombia. I love IMO because it gives students an opportunity to live out there passions, focus on what is important and use our Medical knowledge and abilities. |
